All cancellations must be made at least 12 hours before your scheduled class. This helps us open the spot to someone else who may be waiting to join x

Cancellations made less than 12 hours before class will be considered a late cancellation, and the class credit will be forfeited.
What happens if I miss my class?
If you do not attend your booked class, it will be considered a no-show and the class credit will be forfeited.
What happens if I am late? Is there a grace period for late arrivals?

What if I am sick and cannot attend?
If you are unwell, please do not attend class. Your health comes first, always x
For medical exemptions, a valid MC will be required for us to review your class credit.

Can I attend during my period?
Yes, you can attend during your period if you feel well enough to move. Please listen to your body and take it at your own pace. If you need modifications, let your instructor know.
What if I feel unwell during class?

First-Timers and Beginners
Is the studio beginner-friendly?
Absolutely! The Studio was created to feel warm, welcoming and beginner-friendly. You do not need to be “good” at Pilates to begin. You just need to show up for yourself, and we’ll guide you from there x
I have never done Pilates before. Which class should I book?
We'd recommend to start with our Beginners: Essentials class. It’s our beginner-friendly class designed to introduce you to the reformer, your form, your breath and the foundations of movement at a comfortable pace.
Do I need to be fit to join?
Not at all x
Pilates is for all bodies and all starting points. You don’t have to be strong, flexible or experienced before coming in. That’s exactly what the practice is here to help you build.
Do I need prior Reformer experience?
No, you don’t. If you’re new to Reformer Pilates, Essentials is the perfect place to begin. Our instructors will guide you through the equipment and movements with care x
What should I expect for my first class?
Expect a gentle introduction to our Merrithew reformers, guided movements, form corrections and a class that helps you feel more confident in your body. Come a little earlier so you can settle in, meet your instructor and ease into the space x
Will the instructor guide me if I am new?
Yes, absolutely! Our instructors are there to guide you, especially if you’re new. Please let them know before class that it’s your first time (we'll usually ask this at the beginning too!), so they can help you feel more comfortable throughout the session.
Is there a beginners-only class?
Yes. Essentials is our beginner-friendly class and the best place to start if you’re new to Reformer Pilates or new to The Studio.
How many beginner classes should I attend before moving up?
You’ll need to attend at least one Essentials class before joining Intermediate classes. From there, you can move up when you feel ready and confident.
Will the classes be too intense for a first-timer?
Essentials is designed to be beginner-friendly, so you’ll be guided at a steady and supportive pace. It may still challenge you, but in the best way. Think of it as a soft little hello to your body x
Class Types and Levels
What is the difference between Essentials, Align, Tone, Sculpt, Strength and Power?
Essentials is our beginner-friendly foundation class.
Align focuses on control, posture, technique and mindful movement.
Tone is designed to build strength, balance and beautiful muscle engagement.
Sculpt is a more dynamic class with a stronger burn and flow.
Strength is an advanced class focused on power, endurance and deeper control.
Power is our most challenging class, designed for those who are confident on the reformer and ready for intensity.
Which class is the most challenging?
Power is our most challenging class. It is designed for advanced guests who are already confident with Reformer Pilates and ready for a stronger, faster and more intense session.
Do you have class prerequisites?
Yes, we do! Our classes are structured to help you move safely and confidently as you progress x
To join Intermediate classes, you’ll need to complete at least 1 Essentials class first.
To join Advanced classes, you’ll need to complete at least 1 Intermediate class first.
This helps ensure that every guest is familiar with the reformer, our teaching style, basic safety, proper alignment, transitions and the level of strength and control needed for each class x
Think of it as a journey, not a race. We want you to feel ready, supported and confident every step of the way.
